野雞大學列表

本列表詳列世界上各家野雞大學。這些學校一般都是以商業模式運作，只需要很低的門檻或甚至只要金錢就可以獲得各種級別的學位。在某些國家，經營未經學歷評審而自稱大學是刑事罪行，但亦有一些國家（例如：美國）容許公司的名字裡有「大學」的字樣，使這些野雞大學得以利用法律的漏洞而圖利。這些「大學」，有不少都把名字改成與國際知名的大學非常相似，藉以混淆視聽，使一般人在不留神的情況下張冠李戴。

 

在不少國家，若把這些野雞大學所頒授的「學位」作正式學歷來行使，會被當作刑事罪行，因為這是一種行使偽造文件的行為。

 

法律問題與考慮

 

中國大陸

深圳市從2006年6月開始草擬《深圳市人才市場活動信用管理辦法》，對於意圖行使虛假學歷作正式學歷使用的求職者，其個人資料有可能會在網上曝光。從2002年開始，中國政府開始在公務體系中展開調查，要求曾透過行使虛假學歷而獲得升遷的幹部在限定日期前主動交代。

 

美國

在美國，持有未獲承認的學位課程可能不會得到州政府或聯邦公務員體系的聘用；在某些程況下，若持有人意圖利用這些「學位」當作獲承認的學位課程資歷使用，有可能幹犯刑事罪行。不過，不承認這些學位的州份就只有俄勒岡州、新澤西州、印第安納州、伊利諾州、北達科他州和內華達州，這些州會視此為輕微罪行並只處以罰款。

 

加上，有報道指有野雞大學成功地推翻這法律，最著名的是以懷俄明州為基地的甘乃迪西部大學，曾於2004年起訴因為俄勒岡州州政府拒絕把學校從野雞大學列表中剔除而興訟。
